Caramel Swirls Gourmet Cakes and Pastries partnered with Lyrehc Business Solutions for the upcoming launch of their new bakery. They needed an online presence that would tantalize the taste buds of their visitors with the visual appeal of their cakes and pastries.
CHALLENGE
Due to Caramel Swirls being a new business, budget was of great consideration. However, the owners of Caramel Swirls wanted most of their business to come from online and phone sales, therefore, it was very important to create a website with attractive graphics and an easy to use interface. Additionally, due to the product being parishable, Caramel Swirls could ship and sell only to Florida and Georgia, requiring custom programming to prevent those in other states from purchasing.
SOLUTION
Lyrehc worked with the owners of Caramel Swirls to create a custom design that was depictive of their vision and which could integrate smoothly into the shopping cart system. Utilizing osCommerce, our focus was mainly spent on the graphical layout. Modules were added and customized which utiized the shopper's shipping address in order to prevent the sale of any products other than cookies to states outside of Georgia and Florida. Tax modules were installed as well to properly charge tax based on Shipping addresses that reside in Florida.
RESULTS
Caramel Swirls Gourmet Cakes and Pastries has a strong and attractive web presence that fit within their budget and have begun to build their new business.
